The G80 Sport RWD comes loaded at $55,250. The Stinger GT RWD with all the goodies is supposed to be around $49,500. The G70 3.3t RWD will likely hit $51,250 with everything it can offer. That’s a very narrow spread at the top end for three cars that are as diverse in intent as they are similar in origin. What’s your ranking?
I still say that there is a Hyundai-branded 2+2 sport coupe coming in 2019/2020 as the flagship for Hyundai and N, just throwing that out there.

Stinger because it’s a new way in design and features for Kia

Stinger GT all day. Genesis/Hyundai have yet to figure out their styling.

I really like the blue of that G80, but also not in love with the Genesis grille.

G80 Sport, but only because I just drove it. Just finished the video.
I’m digging the Stinger though, for the price, neither really has a luxury badge (something Genesis will be fighting for) so the cheaper option may be better.

I’ll be that guy. So the question is $40k sedan?
I’d rather have 485 hp.

This is actually exactly what I’ve been looking at for my next car, I just posted the other night. Currently I’d like the g70 I think, it’s the smallest and I think it’s almost as good looking as the giulia. Close second would be the stinger but the g80 doesn’t really interest me. Only debate with the g70 is to go with a brand new 2.0t with a stick or a slightly used loaded 3.3tt awd.

G70. None of them are ridiculously fast or good around a track, so my decision is based purely on looks & ammentities.

Ha! Im actually in the meat and cheese business!! Americans are eating more cheese than ever and that trend is projected to continue rising. That said, I haven’t noticed a substantial uptick in muenster.

really wish that was a standard color on the G80. Looked it up and found it’s just a wrap though.

They are pretty nice and they’ve depreciated pretty decently (like most cars in that segment).
Spring for the Premium though. I test drove both and the gauges in the standard one kinda suck. The premium on the other hand has some really nice digital configurable gauges.

Yeah I would do the premium as well, but from new the price was too much to cross shop. That would have been another 10k. That is 20k over where the cars in question were. So I couldn’t spring for it.

If the manual transmission is anything like the one in the 2.0t genesis coupe, it will be kinda garbage.

G80 V8, and I am looking forward to the Sport Coupe. I hope it kicks butt.

I know, it’s a great color. Apparently someone with a 2015 V8 had everything swapped out to look like the Sport and decided to paint it like an RS7.
Im not even sure if it’s this blue or another though.

My answer depends on whether either of the Genesii has an LSD like the Stinger.

The POS pig nose S13 I had in college could do that with a welded diff... even before I swapped out the boat anchor SOHC KA.
The Charger is quick, but 99% of the time I’m stuck in traffic and the interior is just not a nice place to be in rush hour.

So far the G70 with 2.0 has a manual transmission option. The G70 with the 3.3 may be offering the M-LSD on more than just the absolute top spec version (unlike the Kia where all RWD Stinger GTs are open except the $50k version).

But its huge, has a warranty, V8 noises, uconnect, heated/cooled seats, etc ...
As long as you just touch the things you’re supposed to touch, you’ll be fine.

But my eyes! Oh, the agony! Plus, Dodge product, the only brand I find unpleasant. Hold on, you’re one of them! You’re a Dodge/Chrysler owner.
JK . It wasn’t all that bad and I’m sure there is a reason the Charger is the best selling large sedan.

I’m waiting to see how the depreciation hits the G80 Sport. Its a damn good alternative to the Germans without the crushing repair bills.

Yeah we’ll have to see, I’m coming from an NC so it’s a tough act to follow. And honestly I think I’m ready for an automatic now, I’ve never owned one before. It’ll just come down to options and what I like the best. Panoramic sunroof is a must (coming from a Miata) so if you can’t get that on the 2.0t that’ll decide it easily.
